Welcome Back 2NE1

2NE1 is officially back! *screams* *standing ovation* ( I'm a hardcore Blackjack ). In 2012 2ne1 released only one single named I Love You so we didn't see our girls often, in 2013 it was a good year for 2ne1 since they released three singles : Falling In Love, Do You Love Me and Missing You. Also we were lucky to see Bom and Dara in a mini variety web show called Double Park. I say a mini show because it only had like 3 or 4 episodes. ( Seriously Papa YG? You get to create a show with Dara and Bom the two most loveable, dorky, cute, 4D personalitites, I don't know how else to describe them and you only aired 4 episodes? 왜요? ). Anyway at least we got to see them a lot more often than in 2012. But it looks like 2014 is gonna be the year of 2NE1! Let me explain why :
First 2ne1 announced their world tour  : D They are going to Asia countries first but I hope that they will be able to go everywhere to make all the Blackjacks of the world Happy ; )
Second they released their 2nd full length album and of course it's LEGEN- wait for it -DARY! Buy the album, listen to it and you will realize why 2ne1 are the Queens of K-pop.
So, to thank Blackjacks for waiting them for so long, they also released two music videos for their two title tracks : Come Back Home and Happy. Let's talk about that ( and not about love like Seungri ).

COME BACK HOME

The mv totally suits 2ne1 and they once again proved that they are the only girl group that can handle this kind of music. The mv is very crative, artistic, futuristic and many more impressive adjectives. It has also a very intersting plot. We have two kind of worlds, the actual and the virtual. The virtual one is the one that gets our attention first when the mv starts, since it's been gently advertised in the big screen. Our girls are totally against it, since they are doing anything to destroy him. Bom and Minzy are making bombs and CL is of course their leader. Dara decided to join the group because her boyfriend had depression and decided to go into the virtual world in order to feel better. Since Dara was left alone, she joined the girl group in order to save her love one. That's why she pulled the plug because they were going to destroy the virtual world and she wanted to save him. Nothing more to say. Just watch the mv to enjoy both the song and the awesome mini movie.

HAPPY

A tottally different song from Come Back Home. It'a a very happy pop song although the lyrics are sad and they are describing a not so happy situation. It's a song about a break-up and despite being very angry about your ex, with probably not so happy thoughts about him and the last thing you would wish for him is to be happy, well, the girls are doing exactly that. Instead of crying they wish him to be happy. Maybe it's a new strategy about break-ups now? I don't know. The mv follows that mood because it's filled with vivid and bright colors, some lyrics of the song pop out on your screen in a cartoon way and the girls walk down the streets wearing except from awesome clothes, also big smiles on their faces. Once again they are the only ones who can rock those outfits. Of course Jeremy Scott appears in the mv. Best buddies with 2ne1 and especially CL, I would say it was a happy surprise!

PS : About their world tour, I only want to mention one thing. They perfectly chose the name of their tour to be All Or Nothing because when we talk about 2NE1 is always All Or Nothing!

The Wild and Young Kang Seung Yoon

If with this song Kang Seung Yoon wanted to persuade us that he is a young, rebellion, wild and living - the - moment boy, I guess after listening to it, he succeed it.
The new YG member who makes the YG Family even bigger, made he debut with the release of the digital single 'It Rains' which was spotted on top on many music charts. Now he's returning with a new title track called 'Wild And Young' which describes him perfectly, don't you think? 'Wild And Young' is written, composed and produced by the one and only Teddy ( seriously he should change his name to musical genius or something ) telling the story of a guy falling in love with a girl and just leaving the moment together without worrying about what's next. The song is a strong rock song, different from the currently K-pop scene and it has what it takes to be the most played song in the summer.
The mv continuous this 'Wild And Young' feeling. Kang Seung Yoon gathers his friends and they make a road trip filled with young moments such as swimming and doing crazy things in the pool, chasing bubbles, doing skateboard competition, sitting, singing or dancing around the beach fire, making graffiti and then destroying it, sleeping on the couch ( doing all this is exhausting ) and generally doing things that will leave strong memories. I like that the mv doesn't exaggerating, desplaying the perfect roadtrip but instead they show things that most of us have done or eventually will do.
Kang Seung Yoon proves that he is also incredible even when he sings alone with the band or in the meadow. He has so much confidence and the little moves or expressions that he makes confirm his great stage presence. He only needs his guitar to captivate you from the first seconds. Oh, and that killing smile as well.
But the fun doesn't stop here and we will listen more from him as Yang Hyun Suk stated on YG Life that Kang Seung Yoon will release two more singles on August and September ( it is said that one of the songs is written by G-Dragon ) making the summer even better for his fans!
Kang Seung Yoon has proved that he's 'Wild And Young'. How about you?

Falling In Love with 2ne1

Summer is all about freedom, no worries, free time to do the things you love like going to the beach, reading books, going out, meeting your friends and falling in love. So you need a song to accompany those activities and feelings. Don't search right or left because it's right in front of you. Just listen to 'Falling In Love' by 2ne1.
'Falling In Love' is a reggae pop song and the lyrics tell the story of a girl who falls in love with a guy and she's trapped in his handsomeness. But since we are talking about 2ne1 throw away all the thoughts about a cute, girly song or mv. No. 2ne1 make this concept in their own way too, and they succeed it. With lyrics like 'I'm going to make you mine, that's what a queen do' CL turms this song in a 2ne1-as-we-know-of-song. My favorite part of the song except for the chorus, the 'Touch Me Over Here, Touch Me Over There' ( seriously there are no parts not to like ) is again CL's rap especially the 'Yeah In The Club it's getting Ugly, I Don't Care, Can't Nobody stop the Fire let them haters sit and stare'. All their previous hits combine in one lyric. Legendary.
In the mv we see sets like ancient Rome ( I think ) with the girls being the Queens, a beach where they wear summer clothes, Park Bom and CL's dresses are awesome and a street area where they watch their boys playing basketball. About the choreography the little jumps, the wave - hands and the body rolls they do in the chorus are a perfect fit for the song, without exaggerating. Highlights of the mv is the beginning where Minzy and CL are pointing and smiling at each other and when Bom shows Dara the boy who stole her attention.
My favorite things about 2ne1's comeback is that they are gonna release three more songs this summer until they release of their album around September or October. Also Papa YG or Yang Hyun Suk is making a new promotional strategy so the girls will appear more often on Variety Shows. music stages and releasing their own show 'Double Park TV' with Park Bom and Dara. The YG Ladies are here to stay and make this summer a 2ne1 Summer!
So chech the mv below and as 2ne1 says Make It Happen!

Get your Crayon!

The only thing that you have to do while watching this mv is not being serious! G-Dragon released his title track 'Crayon' from his 1st mini album 'One Of A Kind'. Though both 'That XX' and 'One Of A Kind' were awesome songs, achieved an all-kill in charts and over million views on YouTube, 'Crayon' is the super hit between them. The song combines electronica, rap and hip-hop elements which will make you move your head up and down singing along to the song. The mv shows why GD is different from the other artists. That means doing things that are not normal, not typical, not logical. All the craziness and creativity burst into this mv which will make you laugh, leave you surprise with your mouth wide open! His new trademark is the chunky “Royally Screwed” pendant necklace that he wears everywhere he goes. The mv has hit #10 on iTunes mv making him even more famous worlwide. So listen to the song and scream 'Why so serious?'

G-Dragon's crazy comeback

The comeback of the year would be no other than the King of K-pop G- Dragon. After a long 3 years hiatus G-Dragon is back with his first mini album 'One Of A Kind'. The online release will be on September 15th while the album release will be on September 18th. As soon as YG Entertainment revealed the album tracklist on their official 'YG Life blog', it gained much attention. Firstly because GD has produced all the songs and because many various artists are participating such as Tablo and the new YG's girl group who is still anonymous. The title track of the album will be 'CRAYON' which is the shortened version of 'CRAZY ON' derived from the combination of ‘CRAZY + G-DRAGON’.
As written above G-Dragon made his comeback on August 24th with the song 'One Of A Kind' a hip hop, r'n'b song with a mv full of symbolism. On the first day the mv gathered 2 million views and a total 10 million views in one week. The lyrics of the song show how popular, talented and ambitious GD is and how he creates buzz around his name, make every other artist be afraid of him. In the same time though they show the sensitive side of him as he makes clear that he has been criticized a lot for his work and actions and that he needs the love and the support of his fans in order to continue to make music and be a great artist. At the end of the mv you can see Taeyang making a guest appearance doing what he is most known of : Dance!

But it wouldn't be the comeback of the year if G-Dragon didn't surprise his fans by releasing a 2nd mv one week later after from 'One Of A Kind' mv. 'That XX' is a balad song with a slow and gentle melody. The mv and the lyrics tell the story of an unfullfilled love as GD plays the role of a man who is in love with a girl but she loves someone who is unsuitable for her. In the mv G-Dragon is the 'bad guy' when he's covered with tattoos and the 'good guy' when he is not covered. Also in the mv the lead girl is Jennie Kim from the mysterious YG's girl group. 'That XX' filled the fans with curiosity because YG revealed a picture showing that the mv and the single are not suited for those under the age of 19. Despite this fact the single achieved a 'perfect all-kill' on music charts and has gathered 4 million views in 4 days. Well it seems that G-Dragon is truly One of a kind!
