Tea time with Hello Venus

I start to believe that Hello Venus must be the most nicest girl group. I mean they previously asked us 'What we are doing' and because they don't want us to feel lonely, now they ask us if we want some tea. But not just any kind of tea!
Hello Venus returned with their 3rd mini album 'Do You Want Some Tea?' which is also the title track. I admit that I really liked the song the moment I pressed the play button. It has a nice melody and a nostalgic vibe, which is not bad since it makes the song even better. The girls show their amazing vocals also through this song, proving that they are one of the best rookies out there. Not for too long though!
The mv tells a story that many girls can be related to. The girls seem to be really into one guy so they go out on a date with him but at the end of the date he never makes that one extra step : kissing them. Instead of feel sad about it, the girls decide to make a love potion! So on the next date they pour the love potion on his tea but it hasn't the same effect in all of them. Yooara is the lucky one since the guy fells in love with her and he gives her a present. And although Yooyoung poured some love potion too, the guy doesn't  have an impact. At the end of the mv we see Nara having the best date so far since - as it looks like - she managed to stole a kiss.
The choreography matches the song perfectly. The moves are simple and detailed with small gestures and in some parts the girls dance in groups of two. What I like the most though are the clothes! The '60's dresses with the geometrical patterns are the right choice for this kind of song. A big applaud to the designer team!
So, Hello Cupids now that you know, wil you have some tea?

Nu'Est Time!

Maybe the title resembles Nu'est's mini concert title 'Show Time Nu'Est Time!' but I admit that it fits perfectly for the boys! After a 6 months hiatius Nu'est came back with their second mini album 'Hello' which is also the title track.
The teaser photos gave us a hint about Nu'est new song. The photos showed Nu'est with sad faces and tears in their eyes. So it's no wonder that the song it's not a dance song but a mid-tempo ballad. It has a nice melody that calms you down and I'm glad that they give the chance to Aron to sing in English again.
About the mv I like it less than the song. The director wanted 'cheating' to be the main concept of the mv. Although it's common to see Korean music videos in which the members are dating the same boy/girl, I find it weird to see one woman cheating all the members in the mv. In fact the scene when she was hugging Minhyuk and also kissing JR was..strange. But on the other hand it's nice to see different things in music videos and not the same thing over and over again. The things I like the most were, first the beginning. Just the scene of a man and a woman standing in the snow and the girl giving back her ring, with no sound it's good (to me). Also finally! We have a member kissing (literally) the girl he likes. We don't get to see that very often as fans might be upset but it's great to portray true moments of a realtionship.
Nu'est performances are based on the mv's choreography and it's totally awesome. It's like watching a mini musical. First we see Minhyuk sitting on a table and singing to a girl, then Baekho comes, dancing with other 2 dancers. I didn't know how good at dancing Baekho is! He's totally synchronized and has a great rythm. My favorite part is when they do the 'mirror' dance at the second chorus and also when they grab their ties. Just those little details make a dance a whole better! Of course the 'fast feet movement' is excellent performed and the 'head turning' it's the perfect ending.
Nothing else to say except : Welcome back Nu'Est!

Hello Venus : What are they up to?

Hello Venus came back with a -personal?- question : What are you doing today? The answer is simple : I'm gonna listen their new album, watch their new mv and support their comeback!
The girls' return as a six member group, since Yoonjoo had an injury, is very very good! Their new album What Are You Doing Today? which is also the title track consists of five tracks. Make sure to listen 'Same' and 'Romantic Love'. Definitely worth your attention.
Since blue is my favorite color let me say that I love their mv and their new style. Dressed in vivid colors with patterns, wearing helmets, bows and rollerskates they surely know how to be and act cute. When the song starts it made me think a college theme, the clapping and the beat seems like a girls' anthem but as it reaches the chorus, becomes more girly. The choreography indicates that. We see the girls moving their arms with cute expressions, laying down the floor, shaking their legs and waving their hands saying hello! Only the rap part which I think suits the song the best, is what makes the song a liitle more tough. The mv show the girls dancing in a frame and we can also see them singing individually, winking and acting, what else?, cute! The only action we get is when they try to speak or have some interaction with a man, via a cup-phone. So what are you gonna do Hello Cupids? Will you watch the mv or not?
